Static Caravan Transport

Static caravan transport involves several factors and will depend upon the size of the caravan, where it’s located and where you’d like it moved to.
When making arrangements for all caravan transport, we must liaise with a number of agencies, the factory or Park management and depending on the width of the caravan, the transport will often require the additional services of an escort vehicle.

Twin Unit Transport
A Twin Unit is a modular build transported in two halves
A Twin unit holiday home is essentially a mobile home that has to be transported in two parts.
When the two halves arrive on site, they are assembled together to complete the holiday home build.
In terms of transportation, this incurs extra costs as it effectively means two journeys are required to deliver the full twin unit to its destination.
The same static caravan transportation processes apply to moving a twin unit and depending upon the width, an escort vehicle may be required.

Luxury Lodge Transport
A luxury lodge is a modular timber framed holiday home moved in two halves
A luxury lodge is transported in two halves from a UK manufacturing factory to a destination site.
The final width of a luxury lodge when transported this way can be 22 ft wide which means the two modular halves are transported separately.
The external cladding on a luxury lodge varies and can be timber, CanExel, Cedar or Thermawood.
Acorn Caravan Transport is equipped to transport luxury lodges to their destinations, including all the legally required paperwork that goes with it, supplying an escort vehicle if required for the whole length of the journey.
